This is what I had for dinner and I am so full. I haven’t experimented with fruit aside from apples but I wanted to make something red. Naturally you would think berries but nope I wanted beets. Best decision I have made today. Beet juice isn’t so bad, in fact it was delicious.
- 7 small empire apples
- 1 lb carrots
- ginger (I used 2 inches but this is always a use as much as you can stand ingredient)
- 2 lbs of beets
- 1 lb grapes
Clean, wash and wash all fruit and vegetables. Peel and cut up beets be careful because beet juice is bright red and staining. Mix with ice and water and blend. You will end up with a deep rich red juice. It has a very strong beet flavor. I added a lot of apples and ginger and you can taste the beets very strongly. I did not mind.
This recipe made 1 gallon and I have been drinking it for 24 hrs. The fiber in the beets and carrots are very filling. I am not trying to meal replace but it’s hard to eat anything else after drinking a cup of this juice.
